BTSE is pleased to bring the new Terra (LUNA) onto its platform, growing the selection of quality digital assets available to its users.
LUNA is native to Terra 2.0, a new blockchain launched by Terraform Labs as part of its governance proposal 1623. On the new decentralized and open-source blockchain, there will be no stablecoin where the new LUNA will be the native staking token for mining and governance. Users can stake LUNA with the validators on-chain to help verify transactions and ensure network security in exchange for rewards from transaction fees.
LUNA currently has a total supply of 1 billion, trading at a price of $6.39 as of June 2, 2022.
