BTSE is pleased to welcome Livepeer (LPT) onto its platform, growing the selection of quality digital assets available to its users.
LPT is native to Livepeer, a decentralized protocol that enables developers to provide live video streaming services on Web3 that are cost-effective, crypto incentivized and censorship-resistant. LPT tokens can be staked on the platform to ensure security, obtain the right to perform, delegate work, and vote on the platform’s proposal.
Livepeer secured a $20 million Series B extension in January this year and has raised a total of $51 million to date with investors, notably, Northzone, Alan Howard, Tiger Global Management, and Coinbase Ventures. Livepeer will use the funds to accelerate growth through opportunities across the live streaming infrastructure.
All LPT tokens are in market circulation with a supply of around 24.9 million tokens, at a price of $24.49 on April 7, 2022.
